YOUTH LEADERSHIP MORGAN HILL (YLMH) YLMH is a 4-day leadership program for teens ages 13-18 who are interested in developing critical skills for the working world including public speaking, professionalism, teamwork, and collaboration Also, the participation in YLMH is required to be able to apply and interview for the Youth Action Council (YAC) 2022-2023 fiscal year YLMH gives teens a sense of empowerment and an opportunity to contribute and serve their community The program strives to help teen leaders foster connections with each other in a setting geared specifically to developing leadership skills Participants will meet city officials such as the City Mayor, and other city and community leaders Also, youth resources and tools will be provided by local organizations in the mental health, financial, and leadership fields We prioritize inclusivity, so scholarships are available Date Time Location: Mon 7/11 – Thur 7/14 9am-2pm Teen Center Tue 7/12 6:30pm-8pm Teen Center YAC Applicants & Parents Orientation Night Fri 7/15 10am (start time) Teen Center YAC Interviews - Only for YLMH students who apply to serve with YAC Activity Code #: SSV005 Non- Member: $80 / CRC Member: $75

If you answered YES to the above questions, consider joining us this summer in the Youth Leadership Morgan Hill (YLMH) program, a prerequisite for applying to the Youth Action Council in the 2022-2023 fiscal year YOUTH ACTION COUNCIL 2022-2023 RECRUITMENT The Youth Action Council (YAC) consists of a group of dedicated teen leaders, ages 13 to 18, whose main goal is to represent the voice of teens in the Morgan Hill community YAC is an active local organization that promotes leadership while organizing community events through its different subcommittees such as Community Outreach, Warriors Against Vaping and E-cigarette, and the Youth Leadership Morgan Hill program Also, YAC Members participate in city activities while offering volunteer hours, and present to the City Council monthly YAC currently holds monthly meetings that are held the first Tuesday of each month (second Tuesday in September and January) from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Zoom or at the Centennial Recreation Center at 171 W Edmundson Avenue Teens who are interested in becoming a YAC Member must apply by attending the Youth Leadership Morgan Hill program (YLMH) the week of July 11th, 2022
