PRE-BALLET/ACROBATICS Every little dancer who is ready to do an independent class will love this twirling, leaping, stretchy class Muscle strengthening, poise, correct body alignment… with fun songs, props and games This is an interactive learning class in which students will have in-person instruction with a vaccinated, California Credentialed instructor Students will learn ballet barre, across the floor, tumbling and standing acrobatics as well as how to follow choreography Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and wear dance shoes or rubber tread socks Wear comfortable clothes like leotards which facilitate easy movement *Must have one adult outside of the classroom on property if your child is not fully potty trained and independent in the restroom Instructor: April Gaylord Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI025 9/6-11/15* T 5:15pm-6pm 3 5-6yrs 10 *No class 10/4 Fees: $235 / CRC Member: $225 JAZZ/ACROBATICS Preteen and upper elementary school aged dancers will enhance their dance techniques and expand their acrobatic skills in this combo class Students will work on flexibility, turns, walkovers, limbers, and hand-springs Students should have been introduced to these basic skills before starting class in order to review and build on basics to progress to the next level: diving somersaults, cartwheels, round-offs, and both chaine turns and pirouettes Flexibility, muscle strengthening, and memorization of steps will be part of the workout regime in warm-ups, across the floor, and routine rehearsal to a recital song Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and wear dance shoes or rubber tread socks Wear comfortable clothes like (leotards, leggings, sweatpants) which facilitate easy movement Instructor: April Gaylord Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI026 9/6-11/15* T 6pm-7pm 6-12yrs 10 *No class 10/4 Fees: $235 / CRC Member: $225 DANCING FUN PARENT ‘N ME A fabulous, fun and creative class for preschool readiness with silly songs and dancing games This is for energetic boys and girls Parent participation is requested Students & parents will use props to play games, stretch, sing songs and learn gross motor skills in this interactive class with a California Credentialed instructor Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and wear dance shoes or rubber tread socks Wear comfortable clothes like (leotards, leggings, sweatpants) which facilitate easy movement Parent participation is strongly encouraged, with no more than 1 adult per child enrolled Instructor: April Gaylord Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI027 9/6-10/11* T 4:45-5:15pm 1 ½-3yrs 5 FSI028 10/18-11/15 T 4:45-5:15pm 1 ½-3yrs 5 *No Class 10/4 Fees: $100 / CRC Member: $95

WINTER DANCE PERFORMANCE Are you looking for a fun way to prepare for the holiday season? Are visions of Sugar Plums dancing in your head? This three-week intensive study will focus on ballet, jazz, acrobatics and musical theatre Students will get to complete a weekly craft project and prepare for a showcase performance This is an interactive learning class in which students will have in-person instruction with a vaccinated, California Credentialed Dance instructor On the last day of class, parents will be able to watch the final performance at 5:30pm Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and wear dance shoes or rubber tread socks Wear comfortable clothes like leotards which facilitate easy movement Instructor: April Gaylord Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI029 11/29-12/13 T/F 5pm-6pm 4-8yrs 5 Fees: $120 / CRC Member: $110 PARENT’S NIGHT OUT A fun night filled with dinner, games and crafts This is a night you can leave your child knowing he/she will be safe and have a great time while you have an enjoyable evening out!
