Youth Coding HALLOWEEN THEMED CODING WORKSHOP AGE: 10-16 Join us for spooky coding fun this Halloween! In this one-day workshop, students will learn to write code with p5.js, a JavaScript library for creative coding. They will be introduced to computer programming fundamentals using JavaScript programming language. It would be fun and challenging to apply the coding concepts to make a spooky Halloween-themed project. This workshop presents a good opportunity for students to use their creativity, collaboration, adaptability, and problem solving skills. No prior coding experience is necessary. All coding skill levels are welcome. Please bring your laptop. We will provide it if a student is unable to bring one. Instructor: AllCode Academy Location: Community and Cultural Center (CCC), Poppy Jasper Room Mo 10/27- 04:30 PM-06:00 PM Fee: $40.00 CRC Member: $35.00 INTRO TO PYTHON AGE: 10-16 Learn to create animations and develop algorithmic thinking using Python Turtle graphics library. In this class, we will cover beginner to intermediate level coding concepts with emphasis on algorithm creations. Those who have previous experience in python or Turtle library can still enroll; we will have new projects this session tailored at each skill level. The programming concepts such as variables, loops, functions, passing arguments, and pseudo code technique will be covered. No prior coding experience is necessary. Beginners are welcome. In this class, students will write code to make geometric shapes, digital art, and games. We will cover coding concepts such as loops, variables, conditionals, and functions. Along with coding concepts, students will apply their maths and geometry knowledge to complete the projects. The lessons are planned to boost students' problem-solving skills, imagination, and creativity. Absolute beginners as well as experienced Scratch coders are welcome. Parents Night Out PARENTS NIGHT OUT AGE: 3-9 A fun night filled with dinner, games and crafts. This is a night you can leave your child knowing they will be safe and have a great time while you have an enjoyable evening out! Your child will be in the responsible hands of the Kids Club staff. Each session is based on a particular theme with games, food, and activities according to the theme. This is a Drop off program. Must be Potty Trained.
