Help keep our watersheds clean and healthy. If you are responsible for a pet, please remember to always pick up your pet's waste and dispose it in the garbage. Rainwater washes pet waste into storm drains which connect to local creeks, rivers, and oceans where people swim, wade, and play. Pet waste has bacteria which can be harmful to humans and can also contribute to toxic algal blooms or damage vegetation when left on the ground.
