Aquatics Programs Aquatics Programs WATER POLO AGE: 7-18 This program is for 7 to 18-year-old athletes and accommodates all levels of players, experienced to novice. The 12 and under players will learn basic water polo skills and further develop their game fundamentals. The 14 and up players will fine-tune their water skills and fundamentals and learn game tactics. Requirements: Participants must have a basic swimming ability and be comfortable enough to cross the pool, unassisted/ without flotation device, with both freestyle and backstroke. Our practices will meet at 5:00pm and end at 6:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, for Friday practices we will meet at 4:15pm and end at 6:15pm. Dance Camps DANCE DIVA EXTRAVAGANZA CAMP This camp will allow campers of every level to explore movement skills across the floor, at the barre, and in dance combinations. Each day of camp, we will learn about a style of dance and play games from our themes: Monday: Hawaii Hula Fun - learn about the geography and culture of Hawaii with a craft, gross motor skills games and hula hoop dance choreography. Dance along to hit songs with your pals Moana, Maui, Lilo and Stitch. Tuesday: Terrific Tabby Cat Tumblers - practice acrobatics skills on the mat and learn about fabulous felines of all kinds. Put on your whiskers and learn basic Jazz dance techniques to songs about our furry four legged friends! Wednesday: Fairy Friendship Fun - learn facts about the fairy world and how the seasons change. Dance skills include bourree, chaine turns, and chasses. Dance along to Tink's favorite songs. Thursday: Princess Pas de Deux Parade - learn to twirl and prance like a princess ballerina. Dancers will learn allegro, adagio and barre along with basic ballet choreography. Practice Princess manners and etiquette to prepare for our end of the week tea party. Friday: Dress Rehearsal for our Summer Showcase - Dancers will practice all of the techniques and choreography learned throughout the week and put it all together for a special dance recital for parents/ friends/guardians. We will also celebrate our hard work with a well deserved fancy tea party. *Dancers should dress in comfortable clothes they can move in and wear dance shoes or socks with grips on the bottom. Parent/Child MUNCHKIN SPORTS - PARENT/CHILD AGE: 2-4 This class provides an introduction to soccer and basketball with an emphasis on fun while promoting new friendships through the basic fundamentals! Parent involvement is encouraged as this allows parents to gain a better understanding of the drills being taught and enables them to practice at home with their child. Instructor: City of Morgan Hill Coach Location: Centennial Recreation Center, Gymnasium We 06/18-07/30 10:00 AM-10:45 AM No Class 07/02 Fee: $120 CRC Member: $110 Parents Night Out PARENTS NIGHT OUT AGE: 3-9 A fun night filled with dinner, games and crafts. This is a night you can leave your child knowing they will be safe and have a great time while you have an enjoyable evening out! Your child will be in the responsible hands of the Kids Club staff. Each session is based on a particular theme with games, food, and activities according to the theme. This is a Drop off program. Must be Potty Trained. YOUTH TAP II AGE: 10-15 Faster paced, more advanced class for students. Expand your creative talents while building poise and self-confidence. Rhythm tap sessions include warm-ups; cross the floor exercises and dance routines. Attire: Leotard and tights, or tee shirt and athletic pants/tights, tap shoes. Instructor: Wanda Marshall Location: Community and Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Th 06/19-07/31 05:00 PM-05:45 PM No Class 07/03 Fee: $93 CRC Member: $88 TOT TAP CLASSES AGE: 4-6 Children learn basic tap dancing at an easy going, age appropriate tempo. Encourages creative expression and helps build self-confidence. Tap sessions include dance warm-ups and combinations. Attire: Leotard and tights, or tee shirt and athletic pants/tights, and tap shoes. Learn basic tap technique that includes a warm-up along with cross-the floor-exercises, and dance combinations. Rhythm is magic; and tapping to music is a great way to express one's self. Attire: leotard and tights, or tee shirt and athletic pants/tights, tap shoes.
