STAR WARS CODING CAMP Are you excited about creating your own Star Wars adventure? In this camp, students will use a block-based programming language to make Star Wars inspired characters, stories and games They will use sprites, droids, spaceships, asteroids and the force to code an adventure No prior coding experience is necessary At the end of the camp,students will publish their projects in Scratch studio Instructor: AllCode Academy Location: Centennial Recreation Center, Computer Room Activity# Date Day Time Age Sessions WSK010 2/21-2/24 T-F 9:30am-12pm 8-11yrs 4 Fees: $230/CRC Member: $220 SCRATCH CODING (LEVEL 1 & 2) In this weekly class, students will learn how to write code to make animations, games, and art using a block- based programming language Coding fundamentals such as variables, conditional logic, and loops will be covered The level 2 concepts will be introduced to students who have prior coding experience in Scratch Students will work on all new projects in the Winter/Spring session and will publish their work in Scratch Studio Instructor: AllCode Academy Location: Centennial Recreation Center, Computer Room Activity# Date Day Time Age Sessions Micro:bit is a mini computer that introduces students to how software and hardware work together In this camp, students will learn to program micro:bit using blocks or a text-based language such as JavaScript, Python They will make fun games, virtual pets, Morse Code machine, and many other cool projects This camp would be a great introduction to electronics, robotics, engineering and coding No prior coding experience is necessary We will provide Micro:bit and all the materials needed for this camp to each student Instructor: AllCode Academy Location: Centennial Recreation Center, Computer Room Activity# Date Day Time Age Sessions WSK013 4/10-4/14 M-F 9:30am-12pm 9 -13yrs 5 Fees: $330/CRC Member: $320 WSK011 3/2-4/27 Th 4pm- 5:15pm 8-11yrs 8 *No class 4/13 Fees: $210/CRC Member: $200 MICRO:BIT CAMP

National River Cleanup Day In Morgan Hill May 21, 2023 | 9am-12pm

Saturday, May 21 from 9am-12pm, is National River Cleanup Day in Morgan Hill This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, families and groups to enhance the health of West Little Llagas Creek and its wildlife We will concentrate on picking up litter - gloves, bags, litter grabbers and water will be provided Bring your own water bottle We'll meet at the Corporation Yard (100 Edes Court) at 9am Participants under 18 will need to bring a volunteer waiver signed by their parents with them the morning of the event Call (408) 310-4169 for more info or to get a volunteer waiver
