TENNIS: BEGINNER/ INTERMEDIATE CLASS FOR TEENS The objective of this class is to continue building a sound foundation of students already hitting with the orange ball Lower compression balls, orange, are used at the start Students are trained to develop ball control, motor skills, footwork, and strokes The class continues with advance techniques and movement and progresses to using the green dot or yellow ball

BUILDING DEVELOPMENT ASSETS ONE TEEN AT A TIME! Make A Difference!
o Are you a teenager aged 13-18 who lives in or attends school in Morgan Hill? o Do you want to make an impact in your community? o Would you like to earn Community Service hours? If you answered YES to the above questions, consider joining us this summer in the Youth Leadership Morgan Hill (YLMH) program, a prerequisite for applying to the Youth Action Council in the 2024-2025 fiscal year YOUTH ACTION COUNCIL 2024-2025 RECRUITMENT The Youth Action Council (YAC) consists of a group of dedicated teen leaders, ages 13 to 18, whose main goal is to represent the voice of teens in the Morgan Hill community YAC is an active local organization that promotes leadership while planning community events through its different committees such as Community Outreach (events at the Magical Bridge Playground and doing Adaptive Dances), 50+ Ball, and the Youth Leadership Morgan Hill/YAC Recruitment program YAC Members also do presentations to the City Council every month about the Developmental Asset YAC Members earn community service hours for participating in YAC which will benefit at school Meetings are held monthly on the first Tuesday of each month (the second Tuesday in September and January due to the Holidays) from 4:30 - 6:30 PM at the Centennial Recreation Center at 171 W Edmundson Avenue Teens who are interested in becoming a YAC Member must apply by attending the Youth Leadership Morgan Hill program (YLMH) in the week of Jun 17 – Jun 20, 2024.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP MORGAN HILL (YLMH) YLMH is a 4-day leadership program for teens ages 13-18 who are interested in developing critical life and work skills including leadership, public speaking, professionalism, teamwork, communication, time management, collaboration, and social skills Also, participation in all four days of the YLMH program is required to apply and interview for consideration to the Youth Action Council 2024-2025 school year YLMH gives teens a sense of empowerment and an opportunity to contribute to and serve their community The program strives to help teen leaders foster connections with each other in a setting geared specifically to developing leadership skills Participants will meet city officials such as the City Mayor, City Manager, and other city and community leaders Also, youth resources and tools will be provided by local organizations in the mental health and leadership fields We prioritize inclusivity, so scholarships are available Date: Time Location: Mon 6/17 – Thurs 6/20 8:30am-2:30pm Teen Center Monday 6/17 6:30pm-7:45pm On Zoom YAC Orientation Night (Parents and YLMH Participants) Friday 6/21 10:00am Teen Center YAC Interviews - Only for YLMH students who apply to serve with YAC.
