Youth Coding ARCADE REMIX CAMP WITH SCRATCH CODING AGE: 8-11 Become a game creator and make classic arcade games with your own twist! In this camp, students will use Scratch to design, code, and remix their own versions of retro hits like Pong, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man. They will add their own creative twists - new levels, unique characters, power-ups, and even custom sounds. Along the way, they will learn coding concepts such as loops, variables, functions. Beginners to experienced coders, all skill levels are welcome. Instructor: AllCode Academy Location: Community and Cultural Center (CCC), Diana Murphy Room Tu-Fr 02/17-02/20 09:00 AM-12:00 PM Fee: $240 CRC Member: $230 LEGO ROBOTICS AND CODING AGE: 7-10 Build and program robots in this introductory Robotics class using the newest LEGO® Spike Prime and Essential kit. Along with building skills, learn basic computer programming using simple and visual block coding. In this class, students will build a variety of robots using motors, sensors and lights that will make for a fun experience while developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Each week, students will work on projects with gradual increase in complexity. This is a great way to prepare students for more advanced Robotics programs. Learn computer programming and make websites from scratch using popular technologies - HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and CSS(Cascade Style Sheets). In this class, the web design concepts such as tags, class, id, layouts, CSS rules, and animations will be covered. We will choose website themes as per student's interest and skill level. Students will add content to the website using HTML and they will learn to style it using CSS. No prior coding experience is necessary. Absolute beginners are welcome. Parents Night Out PARENTS NIGHT OUT AGE: 3-9 A fun night filled with dinner, games and crafts. This is a night you can leave your child knowing they will be safe and have a great time while you have an enjoyable evening out! Your child will be in the responsible hands of the Kids Club staff. Each session is based on a particular theme with games, food, and activities according to the theme. This is a Drop off program. Must be Potty Trained.
