Project Description The City's wastewater collection system requires an on-going program of evaluation, cleaning, improvement, and repairs. Eliminating trouble spots (areas in the system that demand a high level of effort and time from the flushing crews) is a priority for FY 16/17.
o FY 16/17: Sewer Main Upgrades Project consists of repairing "Trouble Spots" on Crest Lane, Lamar and Lindo Lane, and an a sewer access road for Oak Leaf Lane.
o FY 17/18: Includes Monterey Rd: between Ciolino & Spring part of a Rule 20A Project
Project Justification These repairs and improvements will improve the efficiency of the wastewater crews by reducing the time spent maintaining the wastewater collection system. Ultimately, these areas are more prone to sanitary sewer overflows (SSO). Repairing trouble spots reduces the City's risk of SSOs.
