Project Description The South County Regional Wastewater Authority (SCRWA) treatment plant is owned jointly by the cities of Morgan Hill and Gilroy. The plant's capacity is evaluated periodically to determine and plan for the future needs of both cities. A budget is developed by the plant's operating agent and approved by the agency's Board of Directors. The City is responsible for 41.9% of the costs shown below for the projects included in the FY 2016 - FY 2021 SCRWA Capital Improvement Budget. Total plant expansion cost is $34.5 million, and the Morgan Hill share is $14.5 million. The City currently has $10.0 million available for this project but will need to plan to fund the additional $4.5 in 2020/2021. Major projects include: Recycled Water Pump Stations: FY 16/17 ($1,050,000) Plant Capacity Expansion: FY 16/17 ($500,000), FY 17/18 ($3,000,000), FY 18/19 ($10,000,000), FY 19/20 ($12,000,000), FY 20/21 ($4,000,000) MH Share (41.9%): FY 16/17 ($693,000), FY 17/18 ($1,279,000), FY 18/19 ($4,152,000), FY 19/20 ($3,053,000), FY 20/21 ($1,684,000), FY 21/22 ($421,000 estimate based on available funds)
