Project Description The City has approximately 182 miles of water pipelines in its water distribution system ranging in age. Replacement of aging pipelines is a routine, ongoing program. In FY17/18 and FY18/19, the existing transmission main feeding the existing Holiday 1 & 2 Reservoirs will be replaced to improve water storage capacity and fire protection for the surround area. Future water main projects will be identified with the completion of the newWater System Master Plan in early FY 16/17 as part of the General Plan Update. The budget below anticipates projects in future years and will be updated once the new CIP is produced. Project Justification In order to ensure system reliability, the City's water mains are on a scheduled maintenance/ replacement program.
