Project Description Constructed in 1994, the South County Regional Wastewater Authority (SCRWA) treatment plant requires ongoing maintenance and improvement while also implementing new standards from the State Water Resources Control Board. Projects are identified in the FY 2016-2021 SCRWA Capital Improvement Budget and are funded through wastewater rate payers. Some of the major projects in FY 16/17 include: Aeration System ($400,000), Secondary Clarifier ($300,000), Pre- Anoxic Basin ($500,000), SCADA Communication Network ($950,000). The City of Morgan Hill is responsible for 41.9% of the project costs. Project Justification Ongoing plant maintenance and repairs are performed to increase efficiency and reliability and necessary to maintain the plant's operating license.
