 Ongoing Litigation:  Morgan Hill Hotel Coalition v. City of Morgan Hill: writ compelling City to place Referendum on Ordinance 2131 on the ballot, currently pending attorneys’ fees motion (2015)  New Litigation:  Morgan Hill Hotel Coalition v. City of Morgan Hill: writ compelling City to place Referendum on Ordinance 2131 on the ballot, currently pending attorneys’ fees motion (2019)  Land-Use and Planning:  Provided advice on zoning ordinance and planned developments  Advised teammates and Council regarding new state law preemption of RDCS  Staffed all Planning Commission meetings  Negotiated and prepared development agreements, subdivision improvement agreements and other documents for new development projects  Reviewed and approved agreements to enhance below market rate housing within the City for individual units or multiple unit projects and for sale and rental projects  Public Health and Safety:  Coordinated with police department on enforcement of municipal code, including updates to enforcement provisions in the Municipal Code  Prepared ordinance requiring the safe storage of firearms, the reporting of lost or stolen firearms, and limiting high capacity magazines  Prepared an ordinance prohibiting the sale of flavored tobacco or vaping products  Advised teammates on administrative citation program  Prosecuted violations of the municipal code in criminal court  Employment and Personnel:  Advised teammates regarding investigations and potential employee discipline, claims for workers’ compensation and/or disability, and regarding meet-and-confer obligations  Provided training to elected and appointed officials and all City teammates on preventing harassment and discrimination  Provided training to all management employees on preventing retaliation claims  Represented the City in disciplinary appeals before the Employee Relations Panel  Assisted in the negotiation of new collective bargaining agreements  Capital Improvement Projects:  Advised teammates regarding impact fees  Advised teammates regarding contracts for capital improvement projects
