Office of Emergency Services (continued) Provided OES seminars to local business Safety Officers, Faith Based Organization Leaders, and Healthcare Providers; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust) Activated a Point of Dispensing/Distribution site during the South County Disaster Airlift Response Team disaster exercise; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust) Secured grant funds for an EOC Video Switch system and laptops for EOC enhancement; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility) Led coordinated efforts during the winter storm with partnering agencies including; Santa Clara Valley Water District, Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Services, National Weather Service, Pacific Gas & Electric, neighboring cities, and issued an AlertSCC preparedness message to neighborhoods at the base of Anderson Dam FY 2020-21 and 2021-22 Activity Goals Develop Hazard Specific Annexes to the Emergency Operations Plan; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust) Obtain Emergency Management Certification through Cal OES; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust) Develop and implement path for EOC team to obtain EOC position specific certification through Cal OES; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust) Enhance Listos Program; recruit Listos Program Instructor, organize and deliver Spanish language community training; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness) Create criteria, train, and implement CERT Response Callout Team; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust) Provide emergency shelter training; Shelter Fundamentals and Shelter Management; (City Council Ongoing Priorities: Enhancing Public Safety, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust) Financial Comments OES will continue to seek homeland security grant opportunities for EOC equipment, emergency response equipment, and EOC training. Through the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) Morgan Hill OES secured $14,400 for an EOC video switch project and EOC laptops, this will be spent prior to the end June 30, 2020.
