Division Description The Communications and Engagement function is coordinated and managed by the Communications and Engagement Director. The Communications and Engagement Director serves as the City's Public Information Officer and is responsible for developing and disseminating information about the City's programs, services, policies, events, and major initiatives. This position is also responsible for administering the oversight and coordination of all external and internal communications and provides support and direction for community outreach efforts. In 2019, the Council Services and Records Management Division was moved under Communications and Engagement to add capacity to the Communications and Engagement functions. FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 Accomplishments  Completed implementation of the City’s brand refresh (Community Engagement and Messaging)  Further developed and formalized both our cross departmental communications team and outreach team to unify and enhance our outreach and engagement efforts and to tell our story in a consistent manner (Community Engagement and Messaging)  Partnered with the City’s Office of Emergency Services to implement the Listos program in Morgan Hill (Community Engagement and Messaging, Enhancing Public Safety, Supporting our Youth, Seniors and Entire Community, Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness)  Continued to enhance outreach and bilingual communications with our Spanish speaking community (Community Engagement and Messaging, Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness)  Developed and implemented an extensive community engagement campaign related to the City’s infrastructure and public safety needs, continuing to explore funding possibilities known as Engage Morgan Hill (Enhancing Public Safety, Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust, Community Engagement and Messaging, Infrastructure)  Completed refresh of our City website improving functionality and usability while enhancing the look and feel of the site (Community Engagement and Messaging)  Continued our enhanced community engagement efforts of providing follow up on all questions and issues which arise during “Coffee with Mayor” and “Lunch with the Seniors.” This follow-up information is shared directly with attendees and the entire community FY 2020-21 and 2021-22 Activity Goals  Continually review and assess the City website to ensure ease of use, access to information, and functionality (Community Engagement and Messaging)  Continue work with Engage Morgan Hill, the City’s extensive community outreach campaign regarding the quality of life needs and wants of the community while exploring the support for
