Division Description The Community Services Department with support from various operating divisions is responsible for all major repairs, preventive maintenance, capital improvements and future replacement schedules for all City facilities, including:
Community and Cultural Center (CCC) campus (740.2115) Morgan Hill Dennis Kennedy Aquatics Center (740.2120) Centennial Recreation Center (740.2125)
Police Department (740.3225) Civic Center Campus (740.5150) Corporation Yard (740.5715)
The Community Services Maintenance Team manages the day to day maintenance operations at all facilities, with the exception of the Police Department Building, which has day to day maintenance operations managed by the Police Department. In addition, the Fire Department manages maintenance operations for the two Fire Stations, and maintenance related funding is included within their operational budget in the General Fund (010.3510). FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 Accomplishments Community and Cultural Center Installed Amphitheater Concert exit lighting Completed Playhouse exterior painting, spray pad repairs and resurfacing, Poppy Jasper room upgrades, hardwood floor rejuvenation throughout facility Replaced preschool classroom chairs, tables for Diana Murphy and Poppy Jasper rooms, fire retardant curtains in Playhouse, door mechanisms throughout the facility, new carpet in the Hiram Room, and ADA buttons on facility entrances Aquatics Center Replaced patio furniture including pool deck chairs, automatic pool cleaner, manual pool sweeper, pool controller for the Recreation Pool, underwater lights in the competition pool, and filter media for the Instructional Pool Completed HVAC repairs, repairs to the windscreens, slide refurbishments, repairs to the chlorine generator, fencing egress improvements at the Competition Pool, diving board refurbishments, and slide pedestal restoration Centennial Recreation Center Replaced Kids Club flooring, pool covers, pool circulation pump, fitness equipment at the end of its useful life, tables, chairs and lobby furniture throughout facility Completed rehab of pool play structure, security camera enhancements, installation of automatic door openers on west wing hallway restrooms, and resurfacing of the pool deck and
