Observations, Summer:

 The average number of calls per day and average daily workload was higher in August than in February.

 Total calls averaged 60 per day, or 2.5 per hour.

 Total workload averaged 38 hours per day, meaning that on average 1.6 officers per hour were busy responding to calls.

 Traffic calls constituted 41 percent of calls and 35 percent of workload.

 Suspicious incidents constituted 20 percent of calls and 19 percent of workload.

 Investigations constituted 17 percent of calls and 16 percent of workload.

 Crimes constituted 7 percent of calls and 12 percent of workload.
