Division Description With the assistance of the Community Services Department, the Police Department is responsible for all preventive maintenance, major repairs, and future replacement schedules for the Police Station.

FY 2016-17 and 2017-18 Accomplishments • Replaced carpeting within the facility • Coordinated with Information Services to increase DVR storage • Upgraded server room with redundant UPS power supply

FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 Activity Goals • Build Second Story Evidence Room (Enhancing Public Safety) • Replace shower doors in women’s locker room (Enhancing Public Safety) • Install second AC System for Server Room (Enhancing Public Safety) • Install sound wall between EOC/Dispatch/Offices (Enhancing Public Safety) • Obtain appraisals for solar panel purchase (Enhancing Public Safety, Protecting the Environment) • Coordinate front counter improvements (Enhancing Public Safety) • Complete keypad upgrade (Enhancing Public Safety) Financial Comments The Building Maintenance Fund is an Internal Service Fund that recovers the cost of maintaining City facilities by charging the departments that use those facilities. An additional fee is charged for the scheduled future replacement of major building equipment, such as mechanical systems.
