Council Priorities Enhancing Public Safety, Protecting the Environment

Location

Existing Woodland Tank

Project Description This project is intended to mitigate the existing storage volume deficiency of the Woodland Pressure Zone and involves the construction of a new 0.25 million gallon storage reservoir at the existing Woodland Tank site location. This improvement includes the demolition of the existing Woodland Tank (0.10 million gallon). Project Justification The City's 2017 Water System Master Plan plans the orderly construction of water system infrastructure intended to accommodate future growth, while maintaining adequate levels of service. The existing Woodland storage tank does not meet the fire flow storage requirements included in the 2017 Water System Master Plan. This recommended tank includes capacity to meet the criteria in the master plan and account for infill residential development in the Woodland pressure zone.
