• Contracted with Communications Facilitator to conduct staff reports and presentations workshop with Management and Leadership teammates • Completed and implemented a refresh of the City’s brand, creating a new style guide and templates • Continued partnership with the Learning and Loving Center to provide a Women’s Empowerment Group facilitated by City teammates to further explore opportunities to outreach with our Spanish speaking community, build relationships, and share resources • Participated in the Institute for Local Government’s TIERS Public Engagement Learning Lab resulting in a draft communication and engagement strategy leading to a 2020 revenue measure • Participated in the Complete Count county wide committee for the 2020 Census • Participated in Learning Session with County Office of LGTBQ Affairs considering LGTBQ wellness center • Served as the President/Chair of the Santa Clara County/Cities Managers Association • Facilitated Council discussion on cannabis policy • Performed a refresh of the City’s website • Successfully negotiated Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with the three bargaining units, for three-year term • Continued to represent Morgan Hill’s interests as they relate to High Speed Rail • Engaged City Council and the community through Engage Morgan Hill efforts and the Community Advisory Group to educate and strategize on fiscal sustainability • Conducted polling to measure support for March 2020 revenue measure • Updated Teammate vehicle use policy • Participating in the Countywide EMS 2022 Vision Group to represent the Morgan Hill and South County interest for ambulance services • Continued to address City’s unfunded Other Post -Employment Benefits (OPEB) and Pension liability by making one-time contributions to irrevocable trusts • Participated in the planning of the 2020 Census Count Continue to employ a sustainable budget strategy by reducing costs, evaluating user fees, and explore new or expand existing tax revenue sources to ensure City’s long -term fiscal sustainability and address the City’s unfunded needs and liabilities (Fiscal Sustainability) • Engage and collaborate with the community and regional partners, including non-profit developers, to ensure Morgan Hill continues to improve, preserve, and develop new affordable housing (Affordable Housing and Homelessness) • Continue to engage the community through Engage Morgan Hill process on City services, funding and priorities, and implement measures which increase public participation and engagement, especially for the community members that do not speak English.
