The use of contract services is the Morgan Hill staffing model used to support staff’s efforts to ensure development projects are reviewed in a timely manner and to augment the team with specialized discipline related skills. The services performed by consultants are on an as-needed basis and include the following: plan check review of engineering plans, mapping reviews, stormwater plan reviews and compliance support, floodplain management support functions, and other technical services. Restructure City Engineering Services to consolidate Land Development Engineering with Engineering and Utilities under direction of the Public Services Director to achieve co-funding and flexibility in City Engineering Services, reducing the overall cost to Development Services Fund 206.
