Project Description In 2004, the City acquired an industrial building and upgraded the building to serve as an "essential public safety" building and Police headquarters. The facility was sized to accommodate future growth and approximately 6,000 square feet was not used by the Department and was subsequently leased to a private entity. Recently the Information Services Division began utilizing about 1,400 square feet in the space, with the remainder still being leased out. This project would fund the design and planning for future growth of the Police Department and some of the initial improvements for use of some of the facility space. Project Justification This project will allow for future space demands of the Police Department as planned when the building was purchased.
