Financial Comments There are currently no City funds associated with the tasks that will be required to comply with the Trash Provisions. It is proposed that the project not be funded until the City has completed the Trash Compliance Strategy and Cost Analysis to establish a compliance strategy that represents the lowest cost of ownership over a 20-year period when considering all construction, operation, and maintenance costs. Operating Cost Impacts After the City is in full compliance with the Trash Provisions, FCS devices will require maintenance and replacement as needed, in perpetuity. The City is continuing to review options for stormwater related fees to address this future funding need.
