Project Description The 2017 Sewer System Master Plan recommends a new sewer main to divert sewer flow fromMonterey Road to the Railroad Avenue sewer trunk. This will reduce potential downstream sewer overflows along Monterey Road during peak flows. The previous project proposed to install a new sewer main In Dunne Avenue between Monterey Road and Railroad Tracks. The revised project proposes to install a new sewer main along East 5th Street. This alignment causes less impacts to traffic and is less expensive to construct than the previous alignment. The Hale Lumber developer will construct the portion under the railroad tracks, providing the City The City's 2017 Sewer System Master Plan outlines the orderly construction of sewer system infrastructure intended to accommodate future growth, while maintaining adequate levels of service. To meet these levels of service requirements, the Master Plan recommended the construction of these sewer pipelines to mitigate existing capacity deficiencies. This increase in sewer system capacity will provide adequate levels of service for existing customers and will allow for the planned development as specified in the City's General Plan.
