Project Description The 2017 Water System Master Plan recommended the installation of new water mains to relieve water system deficiencies and increase the hydraulic reliability of the system. The current project consists of a new upsized water main on Railroad Avenue from San Pedro to Mast Ave. Project Justification The City's 2017 Water System Master Plan (the Master Plan) outlines the orderly construction of water system infrastructure intended to accommodate future growth, while maintaining adequate levels of service. In order to meet these levels of service requirements, the Master Plan recommended the construction of these water pipelines to mitigate capacity deficiencies, increase hydraulic reliability, and account for existing operational considerations. The cost for these pipelines will be met with funds provided by development charges.
