FY 2024 - 25 and 2025 - 26 Activity Goals • Fund eviction counseling through a service provider partnership. • Begin exploring options for shared equity homeownership models. • Partner with the Housing Authority of the County of Santa Clara to implement education and outreach efforts to support Housing Choice and combat housing insecurity. • Seek out opportunities to increase and diversify housing options in the Racially Concentrated Areas of Affluence (RCAA) and make funding available to support affordable housing. • Partner with the County of Santa Clara to support 30 new farmworker housing units by 2029. • Study the need for rent control along with a mediation requirement for rent increases of 5% or more. Financial Comments Included in this budget is the continuation of the Unhoused Specialist (a position currently funded through a grant that expires in December 2024) to support homeless prevention and housing services.
