CalPERS California Public Employees Retirement System provides retirement, health, and related financial programs and benefits to public employees, retirees, and their families and public employers. Capital Asset Assets of significant value and having a useful life of more than one year. Capital assets are also called fixed assets.

Capital Budget A plan of proposed capital expenditures and the means of financing them.

Capital Outlay Expenditures exceeding $5k for the acquisition of capital assets. Includes the cost of land, buildings, permanent improvements, machinery, large tools, and rolling and stationary equipment. Capital Project Fund Used to account for financial resources used for the acquisition or construction of major capital facilities (other than those financed by Enterprise and Internal Service Funds). Capital Projects Projects for purchase or construction of capital assets. Typically a capital project encompasses a purchase of land and/or the construction of a building or facility. CCC Community and Cultural Center - the campus includes the Community Playhouse, the Outdoor Amphitheater, and the main Community and Cultural Center building. CDBG Community Development Block Grant - the CDBG program is a flexible program that provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs. Beginning in 1974, the CDBG program is one of the longest continuously run programs at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The CDBG program provides annual grants on a formula basis to 1180 general units of local government.
