Financial Comments Funding for park maintenance will continue to be funded directly in the Park Maintenance Fund with an annual transfer from the General Fund to offset some of the expenses. This practice was initiated with the goal to slowly draw down the balance in the Park Maintenance Fund over a 20- year period in order to allow the City to increase service levels in all areas requiring General Fund support. Park Maintenance Fund revenues are received from voluntary contributions from developers competing in the City’s Residential Growth Control System (RDCS). However, due to recent changes in the RDCS, this funding source is anticipated to be severely impacted and the fund will be depleted within eight years should changes in funding not be made.
