Division Description The Community Services Department is responsible for all major repairs, preventive maintenance, capital improvements, and future replacement schedules for the Community and Cultural Center (CCC) campus. The campus includes the CCC Main Building, Community Playhouse, Downtown Amphitheater, and Gavilan College facilities.
FY 2016-17 and 2017-18 Accomplishments • Improved site directional signage • Coordinated with Information Services to increase DVR storage • Added blinds in the Mira Monte, Diana Murphy, and Poppy Jasper Rooms • Replaced facility rectangular tables • Made repairs to Spray Pad to allow reopening in the Summer of 2017 • Replaced restroom countertops • Painted Playhouse interior and replaced curtains • Replaced/upgraded HVAC components • Replaced Playhouse seating and carpet • Replaced wall fabric in Hiram Morgan Hill Room
FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 Activity Goals • Install Amphitheater Concert exit lighting (Enhancing Public Safety) • Playhouse exterior painting (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) • New door mechanisms (Enhancing Public Safety) • Preschool classroom chairs (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) • Spray pad fixes (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) • Tables for Diana, Murphy, and Poppy Jasper Rooms (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) • Children’s Pavilion Playground water fountain (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) • AV & TV installation in the Madrone & Machado Rooms (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) • Poppy Jasper room upgrades (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) Financial Comments The Building Maintenance Fund is an Internal Service Fund that recovers the cost of maintaining City facilities by charging the departments that use those facilities. An additional fee is charged for the scheduled future replacement of major building equipment, such as mechanical systems.
