• Participated in regular meetings with County of Santa Clara, MHUSD, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Agency (VTA), Chamber of Commerce, Emergency Operational Area Council, Gilroy, and South County Regional Wastewater Authority (SCRWA) • Appointed to and serving on LAFCO’s Countywide Fire Service Review Technical Advisory Committee • Continued to represent Morgan Hill’s interests as they relate to High -Speed Rail • Periodically spoke at League of California Conferences and Academies • Hosted Zoom Town Hall meetings with the Community, and workshop series on Housing and Broadband • Participated in regular meetings with City Managers in the County to discuss local responses to COVID-19 and participated in calls hosted by the County • Collaborated with the County, Safeway/Albertson’s, Rotary, and the Community Emergency Response Team to serve as a COVID-19 vaccination site • Provided recommendations on American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, consistent with City Council priorities • Proposed and Council approved addressing unfunded needs and liabilities from the City’s annual General Fund budget savings, to include pavement and rehabilitation of City streets, Trusts for OPEB and PERS Rate Stabilization Funds, and Park Maintenance • Worked with Human Resources, City Attorney, and Departments to ensure adherence with COVID requirements and returning to in-person services • Executed Business Recovery Plan during COVID-19 to support recovery of the restaurant industry, retailers, and other businesses, to encourage tourism, and support new investment Worked with County on plans for DePaul Health Center • Successfully negotiated 3 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) contracts with City bargaining groups FY 2022-23 and 2023-24 Activity Goals • Continue to further Council’s ongoing priorities to sustain a safe, inclusive, socially responsible, environmentally conscious, and an economically sound community • Closely monitor the economic recovery and financial impacts associated with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic (Fiscal Sustainability) • Work with City departments to implement a work plan for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness) • Continue to employ a sustainable budget strategy by reducing costs, evaluating user fees, and explore new or expand existing tax revenue sources to ensure City’s long -term fiscal sustainability and address the City’s unfunded needs and liabilities (Fiscal Sustainability) • Engage and collaborate with the community and regional partners, including non-profit developers, to ensure Morgan Hill continues to improve, preserve, and develop new affordable
