City of Morgan Hill, et al., writ of mandate challenging adopted district election map  Land-Use and Planning: o Provided advice on zoning ordinance and planned developments o Advised teammates and Council regarding new state law regarding housing development o Staffed all Planning Commission meetings o Negotiated and prepared development agreements, subdivision improvement agreements and other documents for new development projects o Revised the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance  Public Health and Safety: o Coordinated with police department on enforcement of municipal code, including prosecution of misdemeanor violations o Prepared ordinance to prohibit attendance at sideshows and street races  Employment and Personnel: o Advised teammates regarding investigations and potential employee discipline, claims for workers’ compensation and/or disability, and regarding meet-and-confer obligations o Provided training to elected and appointed officials and all City teammates on preventing harassment and discrimination o Represented the City in disciplinary appeals before the Employee Relations Panel and in Superior Court o Negotiated new collective bargaining agreements  Risk Management : o Serves as City's PLAN JPA Liaison o Represents City on the PLAN JPA Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and chairs Claims Committee. o Works with Leadership Team to identify and establish City's Annual Risk Management Goals o Oversees distribution of risk management grant funds o Establishes insurance requirements for all City contracts (including public bids, RFPs,  Capital Improvement Projects: o Advised teammates regarding fees and other CIP financing o Advised teammates regarding contracts for capital improvement projects
