BUDGET TIMELINE The development of the budget is guided by the City of Morgan Hill’s strategic priorities, budget policies, long range fiscal sustainability, legal mandates, and service level prioritization. The budget process commences in January with the following goals in mind:  Align resources with City Council strategic priorities  Ensure sufficient revenues exist to deliver existing and proposed services and projects

 Prioritize both operation and capital expenditures  Advance the City’s commitment to fiscal sustainability
