Termination of Candidate’s and Committee’s Filing Requirements: Submittal of Form 410, Recipient Committee Statement of Termination will terminate a Candidate’s and Committee’s filing requirements. Candidates with a controlled committee do not have to terminate and have no deadline for filing a Statement of Termination, but as long as he/she keeps the campaign committee active, there will be semi-annual campaign disclosure requirements. (Please refer to the Campaign DisclosureManual). Following the Election - Seating the new Councilmember: It takes approximately 30 days for the County Registrar of Voters to certify the results of the election.
