Community Services (continued)  Continue to partner with Boys and Girls Club to provide an afterschool program at Park Place Apartments (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community)  Implement the Bike/Ped Education and Encouragement program goals to increase participation in the Bike Safety Pledge and build awareness around the new Bike Friendly Business Program (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community)  Continue to provide support to the Morgan Hill Historical Society for operations of Villa Mira Monte (Preserving our Cultural Heritage)  Age-Friendly City Projects will continue to be advanced with priority focus on Transportation and expanding the “Ryde Volunteer Driver Program” program. Transportation is vital to older adults’ mobility, quality of life, and independence (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community)  Programs and services will continue to be developed to meet the diverse needs of the 50+ adults in Morgan Hill (Supporting Our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community) Financial Comments Community Services operations are primarily supported by General Fund discretionary revenues while staff time spent on park acquisition activities is funded with capital fund resources. Significant operational dollars are contributed from the Friends of the Morgan Hill Senior Center to support the Senior Center.

Included in this budget are salary adjustments and/or reclassifications of certain positions to address retention and recruitment issues that have been impacting the City.
