2021 Water System Master Plan

Project Description The 2021 Water System Master Plan recommends an ongoing program to replace aging and failing pipelines throughout the water system. This includes multiple improvements to mitigate existing water system deficiencies, increase hydraulic reliability and/or replace existing pipelines due to poor condition or operational considerations. The initial two years of the project will focus on replacing eight priority water mains in the next two years. The pipeline projects are at the following locations: Shady Lane, Hilltop Court, Oak View Court, Holiday Tank Site, Manzanita Drive, Raccoon Court, First Street, and Oak Canyon Drive. It also calls for 0.5% routine repair citywide between 2024 and 2026. Additionally, a new pipeline project to tie-in the water main on Jackson Oaks Dr. with the Jackson Reservoir and subsequently abandon the existing failing line in place is also planned.

The Master Plan Projects IDs are all the RPs (1-8) and the RRs (24-29) with RP-2 having been completed in FY 2023-24.

Project Justification Repair and replacement of City water infrastructure on a regular basis ensures the aging water system’s reliability to serve customers and provide fire protection service to the Community.
