Project Description Constructed in 1994, the South County Regional Wastewater Authority (SCRWA) treatment plant requires ongoing maintenance and improvements associated with increased growth in the Community, while also implementing new standards from the State Water Resources Control Board. Projects are identified and implemented by SCRWA and are funded through wastewater impact fees or rate payers. An expanded maintenance building for the plant, to accommodate increased needs of the growing plant, was the most recent project completed. The City of Morgan Hill is responsible for 41.9% of the project costs, based on percentage of ownership. Project Justification Ongoing plant enhancements/expansion are performed to increase efficiency and reliability, while supporting expanding needs of the growing communities it serves, are necessary to maintain the plant's operating license.
