OHANA HULA Aloha! The islands are calling your ohana (family)! Let's take off our shoes and move with the rhythms This class focuses on staying active while building strength and stamina Students will learn basic hula hand motions and movements All ages are welcome, so bring your ohana and join the fun! INTRO TO KEIKI HULA Aloha! Let your little hoku (star) shine! Hula is an expression of art and storytelling, revealing a unique part of Hawaiian culture As students follow the choreography, hand motions and dance movements come together for their first keiki hula This class builds confidence, coordination, and poise, while strengthening the body Join me as we celebrate this ancient tradition Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and dress comfortably to facilitate easy movement Pa'u (hula skirts) are recommended, but not required Instructor: Little Hoku Hula Academy Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI037 9/8-10/13 F 4:45pm-5:45pm 7-12yrs 6 FSI040 10/27-12/15* F 4:45pm-5:45pm 7-12yrs 6 *No class 11/3, 11/24 Fees: $180 / CRC Member: $170 MINI HIP HOP STARS A fabulous, fun and creative class for young performers with silly songs and dancing games that encourages little movers to work on Gross Motor skills This is for energetic boys and girls who want to learn how to move to the beat and create their own hip hop poses Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and wear dance shoes or rubber tread socks Wear comfortable clothes like (leotards, leggings, sweatpants) which facilitate easy movement If your child is not fully potty trained/needs help in the restroom, parent should stay on premises in the lobby Instructor: April Gaylord Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI025 9/5-10/3* T 4:45pm-5:15pm 25-4yrs 4 FSI028 10/17-11/14* T 4:45pm-5:15pm 25-4yrs 4 *No Class on 9/19, 10/31 Fees: $100 / CRC Member: $95 PRE-BALLET/ACROBATICS Every little dancer who is ready to do an independent class will love this twirling, leaping, stretchy class Dance along with California Credentialed teacher Miss April to fun songs, props and games Students will learn ballet barre, across the floor, tumbling and standing acrobatics as well as how to follow choreography Dancers will have a special Halloween event and parent preview day Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and wear dance shoes or rubber tread socks Wear comfortable clothes like leotards which facilitate easy movement *Must have one adult outside of the classroom on property if your child is not fully potty trained and independent in the restroom Instructor: April Gaylord Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI026 9/5-11/14* T 5:15pm-6pm 35-6yrs 9 *No class on 9/19, 10/31 Fees: $240 / CRC Member: $230

PRE KEIKI HULA Aloha! Let's play the island way! Your keiki (child) will love learning traditional songs that introduce Hawaiian phrases, the body, colors, and numbers, along with basic hand motions This class is designed to enhance listening skills and coordination, while learning culture and language in a fun and friendly environment Your little one will be so proud to learn their first noho (sitting) hula Special Instructions: Participants should bring a water bottle and dress comfortably to facilitate easy movement Pa'u (hula skirts) are recommended, but not required If your child is not fully independent in the restroom an adult must be outside the classroom to assist, if needed Instructor: Little Hoku Hula Academy Location: Community & Cultural Center, Mira Monte Room Activity # Date Day Time Age Sessions FSI036 9/8-10/13 F 3:45pm-4:30pm 4-6yrs 6 FSI039 10/27-12/15* F 3:45pm-4:30pm 4-6yrs 6 *No class 11/3, 11/24 Fees: $160 / CRC Member: $150
