Aquatics Programs Aquatics Programs AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD CLASS AGE: 15-99 RED CROSS BLENDED LEARNING LIFEGUARDING CLASS This lifeguard training is a blended learning class, you will need to finish the online training before the first class sessions. This course, based on the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Program, will certify students in Lifeguarding, CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Students must be 15 years of age by the last day of class. Attendance at every class is required. For more information, please call Suzie Nguyen at 408.310.4303. *Pre-Req Requirements: This class will require a mandatory prerequisite test. The successful completion of the prerequisites is required in order to participate in the lifeguard class. Participants will need to be able and successful in a 200-yard swim, 2-Min tread, and a timed brick retrieval. WATER POLO AGE: 7-18 This program is for 7-18-year-old athletes and accommodates all levels of players, experienced to novice. The 12and under players will learn basic water polo skills and further develop their game fundamentals. The 14 and up players will fine-tune their water skills and fundamentals and learn game tactics. Requirements: Participants must have a basic swimming ability and be comfortable enough to cross the pool, unassisted/ without flotation device. Our practices will meet at 5:00pm and end at 6:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, for Friday practices we will meet at 4:15pm and end at 6:15pm.
