Parent/Child WIGGLE WORMS-GET YOUR WIGGLES OUT! PARENT/CHILD AGE: 2-4 Are you looking for an activity to get the wiggles out? Join us as we keep your toddler busy with a variety of activities. We will start with story time, and then engage in fun activities such as a mini obstacle course, duck duck goose, red light green light, freeze dance, stretching and more. This is a great opportunity for toddlers to socialize and participate in lightly structured activities. Parent involvement is encouraged as this allows parents to gain a better understanding of the drills being taught and enables them to practice at home with their child. CODE IN VIRTUAL REALITY AGE: 8-11 Write your own code and see it come alive in VR! In this class, students will learn computer coding fundamentals using block based or text-based programming language. They will apply the coding concepts to make stories, simulations, and games. The concepts such as variables, event handling, conditionals, and loops will be covered. Students will also learn 3D design and use their own 3D creations in the program. The most exciting part would be to test the code in VR using VR headsets. Those who took VR summer camp can enroll in this session as well; we will have new projects this session.. Instructor: AllCode Academy Location: Community and Cultural Center (CCC), Poppy Jasper Room Sa 02/01-04/12 03:00 PM-04:00 PM No Class 02/15 Fee: $285 CRC Member: $275 CREATIVE CODING WITH JAVASCRIPT AGE: 10-14 In this class, students will be introduced to text-based programming and creative coding using P5 JavaScript. JavaScript is a versatile language and coding with the p5.js library presents endless possibilities of what we can create. Students will learn computer programming fundamentals that they will apply to make games and artistic digital designs. Coding concepts such as variables, conditionals, functions, and logical operators will be covered. No prior coding experience is necessary; experienced coders are encouraged to enroll as well. Students will work on all new projects in this session.
