MOVIES WITH GRANT This course provides an introduction to the cinema. It includes a view of the inventors and the technological developments the led to the modern motion picture, as well as a historical perspective on the growth and development of the cinema, including significant films that contributed to its establishment as an art form. This course includes a study of film genres, such as comedy, musical and western. It also touches on the technology of image and sound and looks at the basic techniques filmmakers use when they attempt to convey a meaning.
