Division Description As part of the Police Department, Information Services centrally manages the Information and Technology assets, planning, support and alignment of the City of Morgan Hill technology infrastructure with departmental business needs and requirements. FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 Accomplishments  Expanded wireless capacity in City Hall / DSC and Council Chamber buildings to support increased City and public mobile connectivity needs (Community Engagement and Messaging)  Implemented enhanced security network monitoring and controls on City and public networks to meet increased security and digital rights misuse risks (Community Engagement and Messaging, Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust, Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility)  Worked with Community Services and Engineering and Utilities Departments on combining Corporation Yard and Centennial Recreation Center into one campus to reduce network interconnectivity costs (Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility)  Replaced core firewalls at the PD and the City Hall to protect community data (Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility)  Replaced end-of-life network equipment at the PD and the City Hall to help ensure network availability while serving the public (Supporting our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community, Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility)  Replaced approximately 70 end-of-life workstations to ensure the productivity of our teammates (Fostering a Positive Organizational Culture, Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility)  Implemented a new SQL Server cluster to host the mission critical databases of the City reducing the number of database servers to manage (Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility)  Reduced the number of open help desk tickets by approximately 70% addressing the backlog of the service requests from teammates (Fostering a Positive Organizational Culture) FY 2020-21 and 2021-22 Activity Goals  Complete the first cycle of workstations upgrade as part of on-going PC replacement program to eliminate end-of-life PCs and ensure teammates are on a regular PC replacement cycle (Fostering a Positive Organizational Culture, Fiscal Sustainability)  Upgrade Council Chamber Audio/Video high definition including streaming to social media sites such as Facebook (Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust, Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness, and Supporting our Youth, Seniors, and Entire Community)  Restructure IT Leadership to meet the growing demand of technology in the City (Fostering a Positive Organizational Culture, Fiscal Sustainability)  Implement filtering technology to protect the City from malicious websites (Fostering a Positive Organizational Culture, Fiscal Sustainability)  Complete security risk assessment and penetration testing to ensure compliance with best practices that limit exposure to security breaches and phishing vulnerabilities (Fiscal
