County, to expand homelessness prevention, and to create healthy neighborhoods for all in Santa Clara County. Accepted a $450,000 grant from Destination: Home to advance local implementation of the Community Plan to End Homelessness. The capacity building grant will support the full time “Unhoused Specialist” who began in December of 2021 Participated with work group charged with the Santa Clara County Regional Assessment of Fair Housing Draft of the Goals and Strategies to promote residential racial and ethnic integration and reduce displacement by increasing the supply of affordable housing In November of 2021, Housing received a B+ grade from the Mercury News and Southern California News Group journalists for RHNA performance in the 2015-2023 Housing Cycle Council adopted the revised Inclusionary Housing Ordinance solidifying the intent of the Affordable Housing Program and accepting partial housing in-lieu fees to fund ELI and VLI homes to further the City’s RHNA goals Participated in the Santa Clara County Isolation and Quarantine program that assisted 128 households in Morgan Hill with in-home support (groceries, cleaning supplies, etc.) and 69 households with financial assistance. Placed 18 households into hotel isolation and quarantine Conducted Housing Conversations – a series of workshops, townhalls and community meetings in both English and Spanish to support the work of the Housing Element’s Community Outreach and Engagement FY 2022-23 and 2023-24 Activity Goals Revise and update the Mobile Home Ordinance (Affordable Housing and Homelessness) Continuation and funding for the Family “Focus” Safe Park Program (Affordable Housing and Homelessness) Continuation and funding for Cold Weather Inclement Shelter Program (Affordable Housing and Homelessness) Continue to implement the Five-Year Community Plan to End Homelessness, seek dedicated South County resources and capacity building opportunities to refine and coordinate homeless services in South County, including but not limited to sheltering and transitional housing opportunities (Affordable Housing and Homelessness) Identify funding to support the work of the Unhoused Specialist’s efforts to provide rapid response and support to people experiencing homelessness in real time, including transportation opportunities (Affordable Housing and Homelessness) Collaborate with Santa Clara County to increase affordable farmworker housing opportunities (Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness) Collaborate with the Development Community to create affordable housing rental and ownership opportunities (Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness; Affordable Housing and Homelessness) Continue to facilitate the management of the City’s Below Market Rate Program and incorporate a customer service feedback component (Enhancing Diversity and Inclusiveness;
